The North American Coordinating Council on Japanese Library Resources (NCC) and the National Institute of Japanese Literature (NIJL) have launched the second phase of the NIJL-NCC/CDDP Digitization Grant Program, which supports the digitization of classical Japanese materials located in North America. Applications for the second phase are now open.

Currently, institutions selected for the first phase are actively working on image creation. These images will be gradually published in the Kokusho Database.
