We open web exhibition of the on-site Regular Exhibition to make it accessible to a wider audience.

This exhibition will explain the form and content structure of Japanese books and introduce literary works in manuscript, in print and in books with unique character. This exhibition will also raise issues in determining the nature of Japanese books. As an overall result, basic knowledge about Japanese books will be learned and there is more opportunity to further consider this subject matter.

While viewing digital photographs of the exhibition materials, you will follow along the route and read the explanations. You can also watch explanatory videos unique to the web, which provide clear explanations while demonstrating. You can freely explore the cyberspace, either by browsing the exhibition layout or using it as a reference source to look up bibliographic terms. We encourage you to explore the cyberspace at your own pace, following your interests. We hope that this opportunity allows those who find it difficult to visit from distant areas within the country or from abroad, to connect with the rich world of Japanese literature.
